Follow signs for the A40 and Chamonix. You need your passport handy for passport control.

You will soon pick up road signs for Chamonix Mont Blanc.  After about 80 km, you will go over a viaduct into the Chamonix Valley (on a clear day you can see Mont Blanc) the first place you should look for is
Les Houches.   Shortly after, you will go through the 3rd Tunnel/underpass. After this, look out for a Large brown SIGN on your right, pointing to The Mont Blanc and Bossons Glaciers and just after you see the Hotel Mercure on the right hand side, follow the diversion (deviation) signs taking the road on your right.   Follow the Citroen garage, Chamonix and Les Songenaz signs.  After crossing a little bridge, continue following Les Songenaz on the road that runs parallel with the main road.

There will be a sign off to the left for Chamonix Centre, next to the recycling bins.  Ignore this and keep on the road to the end and you will see a double garage in front of you.  Just before this, there is a 90 degree sharp right hand bend.  As you start to go up the hill, look out for the sign
Les Songenaz about 20 metres on the right hand side.
The drive for Chalet Wildfire is shortly after this on the right after the lamp post and before a tall fir tree -look for the Post Box marked
Chalet Wildfire.

Please Note: Wildfire is No 174 Rte des Songenaz not  174 on Rte  des Praz d'en  Bas
